Dancing at a French Guinguette

Ask someone to dance, survive your first rock steps and have fun on the dance floor at a riverside guinguette.

Guinguettes are open-air bars with a dance floor, traditionally on the riverbanks around Paris such as the Marne, and they're back in fashion in many cities in summer. People of all ages dance rock, swing and musette there, often without a partner booked in advance. Dance lessons such as salsa, rock or bachata are usually run by local associations, with a yearly fee paid in September.
