Football Talk in France
Chat about teams, matches and results with French friends, at the bar or in the stands.
Football is « le foot » in France, and Ligue 1 rivalries run deep: PSG against l'OM (Olympique de Marseille) is « le Classique », and Lyon, Lens, Lille and Saint-Étienne all have passionate fans. People watch big games at friends' places or in bars, and the national team, « les Bleus », unites almost everyone. Scores are said with « à »: « deux à un », and a draw is « un match nul ».
