Getting Furniture Delivered in France
Arrange a delivery slot, guide the delivery team up to your flat and check everything before you sign.
French furniture shops deliver in a time slot (créneau), and you choose between delivery to the foot of the building or up into your flat, which costs more, especially without a lift. Shops must offer to take back your old furniture when they deliver a similar new item. Before signing the delivery note (bon de livraison), check the boxes and write any damage on it as réserves, otherwise a claim is much harder.
