Out and About with Your Dog in France
Chat with other dog owners, follow park rules and take your dog to a café the French way.
France is a dog-loving country: dogs are welcome in many cafés and restaurants, though a lot of city parks ban them or require a lead. Every dog must be microchipped and registered (I-CAD), and owners can be fined for not picking up after their dog. Many people adopt from the SPA, the main animal shelter network; strangers at the park usually start with vous, even when the dogs are already best friends.
