Knitting Club at the Café
Buy yarn at the haberdashery and chat about stitches, needles and projects at a French knitting group.
In France you buy wool and needles at a mercerie, the local haberdashery, or at big chains like Phildar and craft stores. Many cafés and libraries host a weekly « café tricot » where people knit and crochet together, and members quickly switch to tu. Yarn is sold by the « pelote », and patterns call stitches « mailles » and rows « rangs ».
