Parents' Evening at a French Collège
Ask how your child is doing, understand grades out of 20 and agree on how to help at home.
French collèges hold a 'réunion parents-professeurs' once or twice a year, where you queue to see each teacher for a few minutes; your main contact is the professeur principal. Grades are out of 20, a 'moyenne' of 10 is a pass and anything above 14 is good, and the term report (le bulletin) comes after the conseil de classe. Most schools use the Pronote app for grades, homework and messages to teachers, and many offer free supervised homework help called 'Devoirs faits'.
