Ordering Takeaway and Delivery in France

Order at the counter, give the delivery rider your door code and floor, and complain politely when something's missing.

At any French counter you'll hear « Sur place ou à emporter ? » (eat in or take away?). In cities most deliveries go through apps like Uber Eats and Deliveroo, and since most buildings have a coded front door, give the rider your digicode, building and floor. Many lunch places accept titres-restaurant (meal vouchers, now often on a card), but some only at lunchtime and on weekdays.
