Taxis and Ubers in Paris
Find a taxi, give directions, pay and get a receipt, and track down your Uber.
Official Paris taxis wait at a « station de taxis » and show a green light on the roof when free; between the Paris airports and the city they charge a fixed price (un forfait) that depends on the airport and the side of the Seine. All Paris taxis must accept bank cards. Apps like Uber, Bolt or G7 are everywhere, and their cars are called VTC; you greet the driver with « Bonjour » and use vous.
