Surviving the Daily Standup in a French Tech Team

Give your yesterday-today-blockers update, ask for help and keep the daily short, the way French developers really talk.

In French startups and tech teams almost everyone says tu, including to the manager, and the standup is usually called la daily. Spoken dev French is full of anglicisms such as un ticket, une PR, merger, pusher or en prod, mixed with casual verbs like bosser. A quick meeting is un point, and taking a day off is poser un jour, often from your RTT days.
