Glasses and Eye Tests in Spain
Get your eyes tested at a Spanish optician's, choose frames and sort out broken glasses.
In Spain you can walk into most ópticas for a free eye test (graduarse la vista); for eye diseases you go to the oftalmólogo, usually through your centro de salud. Gafas are glasses, lentillas are contact lenses, and vista cansada is age-related long-sightedness. The cards follow someone in Salamanca who finally admits they need new glasses.
