New Year's Eve in Spain
Make Nochevieja plans, survive the twelve grapes and toast the new year the Spanish way.
In Spain New Year's Eve, 'Nochevieja', means a late family dinner, then everyone eats twelve grapes, one per chime of the clock at midnight, usually watching the Puerta del Sol on TV. Then people raise a glass to the new year and many go out partying until morning. The cards follow a newcomer talking plans with a colleague and spending the night with their Spanish in-laws in Getafe.
