Opening a Bank Account in Spain

Get a current account with no fees, a debit card, online banking and Bizum, using your NIE.

Spanish banks charge a monthly comisión de mantenimiento unless you domiciliar your salary or bills with them, so that's the first thing to ask about. You'll need your NIE or passport, you sign on a tablet, and everything from direct debits to Bizum runs through the bank's app. The cards follow one branch visit from the first question to setting up the card.
