A Pottery Class in Spain
Simple Spanish sentences for signing up to a pottery class, working the wheel and glazing your first piece.
Spain has a long ceramics tradition, from Talavera to Manises near Valencia, and small talleres de cerámica run evening courses for beginners with clay and kiln included in a monthly fee. You learn to centrar el barro on the torno, let pieces dry, and then they go in the horno twice, before and after the esmalte. These sentences follow a beginner's enquiry, first class on the wheel and the day the mug comes out of the kiln.
