Small-Town Life in Spain

Settle into a Spanish village: meet the neighbours, swap favours and get used to everyone knowing your business.

Plenty of people leave Madrid or Barcelona for a pueblo, where life runs through the bar, the plaza and the neighbours. Favours are currency: someone keeps your keys, someone brings you tomatoes, and everyone knows who you are within a week. The cards follow a newcomer's first weeks in a village in Teruel.
