Talking About Work in Spain
Colloquial Spanish for describing your job, moaning about work over a coffee and deciding to change career.
In Spain people talk about work openly: whether you have a contrato indefinido, whether you're autónomo, whether you got in por enchufe and whether your company does jornada intensiva in summer. Leaving a job is pedir la baja voluntaria. These cards follow small talk at a barbecue, after-work beers with a friend who listens to your complaints, and the phone call when you finally quit.
