Working in a Spanish School
Spanish for finding school work, settling into the staff room and getting through your first days as a language assistant.
Many English speakers start in Spanish schools as auxiliares de conversación, supporting English teachers for around 16 hours a week. Anyone working with minors needs the certificado de delitos sexuales, timetables come from the jefa de estudios, and public teachers are either interinos or have a plaza fija won through the oposiciones. These cards follow a first enquiry at a school, the first day in the staff room and playground duty.
