الفرق بين do و does — ومتى نضيف s للفعل

مع he / she / it يأخذ الفعل s. في السؤال والنفي تنتقل الـ s إلى does، ويرجع الفعل بدونها.

مع I و you و we و they نستخدم do والفعل بدون s: they work, Do they work?. مع he و she و it نستخدم does، والفعل في الجملة المثبتة يأخذ s: she works, Does she work?.

الـ s تنتقل إلى doesShe works here مع دائرة حول s، وسهم ينقل الـ s إلى Does في Does she work here?، ثم She doesn't work here. الفعل work يبقى بدون s.She works here.الـ s تنتقل إلى doesDoes she work here?She doesn't work here.

الـ s لا تظهر مرتين: في الجملة المثبتة تكون على الفعل (She works here)، وفي السؤال والنفي تنتقل إلى does (Does she work here? / She doesn't work here) ويرجع الفعل work بدونها.

s أو es أو ies؟ثلاثة أسطر: ‎+s مثل works و plays. ‎+es بعد s و sh و ch و x و o مثل watches و goes. ‎+ies بعد حرف ساكن + y مثل study ← studies.+sworks · plays+eswatches · goes(s, sh, ch, x, o)+iesstudy → studiesساكن + y

أغلب الأفعال تأخذ s (works, plays). بعد s و sh و ch و x و o نضيف es (watches, goes, fixes). وإذا انتهى الفعل بحرف ساكن + y تتحول y إلى ies (study ← studies).

خطأ شائع
