Expressions for Confidence in Speeches

Ways to sound certain in Swedish without sounding arrogant — from jag är övertygad om to sätta ner foten.

The rhetoric of certainty, in escalating strength: the openers (jag är övertygad om att, låt mig vara tydlig), the certainty markers from utan tvekan up to bortom allt tvivel, the standing-firm idioms (sätta ner foten, stå på sig, det står jag för), the oath tier (det kan jag svära på, sanna mina ord) — the full toolkit for tala med övertygelse.
