The doorstep discount debate

When the item in person differs from the ad: legitimate price adjustments, illegitimate doorstep ambushes, and holding your line politely on both sides.

The most delicate negotiation happens at the doorstep: the buyer has driven 40 minutes, the seller has carried the table downstairs, and NOW someone wants to change the price. Sometimes that's fair (undisclosed damage), sometimes it's an ambush tactic. This deck arms both sides.
