Small Talk in the Pharmacy Queue

Safe openers for the wait at the apotek — the queue, the season, and everyone else's cold.

The Swedish pharmacy queue: twenty minutes, one open till, and the small talk that carries a nation through it — in queue order: remarking on the crowd, the kölapp etiquette, seasonal illness talk, the weather and the dark, flu-jab wisdom from a grandparent, and the blessings on parting (krya på dig!). Master this and you can small-talk any Swedish queue.
