Calling Försäkringskassan about sick pay

Day 15 of being ill: your employer stops paying, you call Försäkringskassan, and learn what a doctor's note, an SGI and a 'complementary request' actually mean.

Swedish sick pay changes hands on day 15: the employer pays sjuklön for two weeks, then reports you to Försäkringskassan and you apply for sjukpenning yourself. Most people discover this the day the salary is short. This deck follows one phone call to kundcenter — queue, ID check, the questions they ask, and what you have to send in.
