Proposing, negotiating and dodging — the diplomacy of a family calendar.

Planning the family gathering without the conflict — the deck is the diplomacy manual: the hosting rotation (vem är värd? kan vi turas om?), the potluck treaty (alla tar med något, kan vi skippa presenter?), the grandparent logistics (farmor föredrar telefon, vem hämtar morfar? — innan det blir mörkt, så vi äter två), the allergy protocol, the present-timing wisdom — ending with the fairest rule in family law: den som inte lagade maten tar disken.
